Harbor Teacher has gone 8-2 against King/Drew recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Monarchs will look to defend their home field against the Golden Eagles at 2:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Harbor Teacher's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while King/Drew has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
While Harbor Teacher's victory against Dorsey wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Monarchs had just enough and edged out the Dons 3-2 on Monday.

Lexi Cetina made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and one run.
Cetina wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Candice Gutierrez, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, King/Drew made easy work of Dorsey on April 10th and carried off a 17-5 win.
Like Harbor Teacher, King/Drew also got a great game from a two-way player: Jordan Garcia. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 14 over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Garcia has posted since back in February. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs.
In other batting news, Xeniya Anderson was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Walker, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with six stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
King/Drew was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Harbor Teacher has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for King/Drew, their win bumped their record up to 6-13.
King/Drew's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Harbor Teacher hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .317. It's a different story for King/Drew, though, as they've only averaged .229. Will they be able to contain Harbor Teacher's hitters?
Everything went Harbor Teacher's way against King/Drew when the teams last played back in March, as Harbor Teacher made off with a 20-9 victory. Do the Monarchs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Golden Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
