Soccer Recap: Rutland Comes Up Short

Rutland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 10-0 to the Pike County Pirates. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Pike County this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-0 on March 3rd.

Rutland's record now sits at 2-10. As for Pike County, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Rutland will take on Jackson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Rutland's defense better be ready for this one: Jackson have averaged an impressive 3.8 goals per game this season. As for Pike County, they will square off against Westside at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Pike County will be up against Westside's rather soft defense (which has allowed 7.33 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
