Baseball Recap: Jefferson Takes a Loss

Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Adams City Eagles, falling 14-1.

Jefferson saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was AJ Alvarado, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Jaime Garcia also deserves some recognition as he got his first hits of the season.

Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Adams City, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jefferson will challenge Arrupe Jesuit at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Arrupe Jesuit has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.33 runs per game on average), something Jefferson will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Adams City, they will take on Skyview at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
