Pope John XXIII won against West Morris Central on Thursday with seven runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. Pope John XXIII won by a run and slipped past the North Hunterdon Lions 7-6. Winning may never get old, but Pope John XXIII sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Pope John XXIII's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-3. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for North Hunterdon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-9.
