Volleyball Recap: Mclean Falls Short of Cosby in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact McLean can now relate to. They fell just short of the Cosby Titans by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. The Highlanders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The 3-2 doesn't really show just how close this match was: all the sets McLean lost were decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-22, 13-25, 26-24, 22-20.

Despite the loss, McLean saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jose Eslinger had 13 digs and seven assists.

McLean's defeat dropped their record down to 17-4. As for Cosby, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-7.

McLean does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cosby, they will face off against West Springfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
