Basketball Recap: Rancho Now 14-1 over Last 15 Games

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Rancho had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They walked away with a 58-49 win over the Somerset Academy Losee Lions. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Rams also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2018.

Jakoi Lide continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 9-for-22 en route to 24 points in addition to seven boards and five steals. He has been hot for a while, having posted 17 or more points the last 15 times he's played. Destiny Teah was another key player, putting up 11 points and six rebounds.

Rancho smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 14 consecutive games.

Rancho has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.3 points over those games. As for Somerset Academy Losee, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-12.

Coming up, Rancho will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Clark at 6:30 p.m. One thing working in Rancho's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 13 matchups. Somerset Academy Losee does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
