Softball Recap: Surry Central Takes a Loss

Surry Central fell victim to North Surry and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 8-0 to the North Surry Greyhounds. The Golden Eagles' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Surry Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaycee Dalton, who went 1-for-3 with one double. That double was Dalton's first of the season.

Surry Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for North Surry, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Coming up, Surry Central will square off against East Surry at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Surry, they will challenge North Wilkes at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Surry's pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so North Wilkes' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
