Soccer Recap: Beaver's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last four contests, Beaver finally came back down to earth on Saturday. They fell just short of the Central Valley Warriors by a score of 1-0. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Beaver came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 122nd, while Central Valley are ranked 259th).

Beaver moved to 12-4 with that defeat, which also ended their four-match winning streak. As for Central Valley, they pushed their record up to 9-5 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

Coincidentally, Beaver and Central Valley will both be playing Avonworth the next time they take the pitch. The Warriors will host the Antelopes at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Bobcats will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
