Lehi waltzed into their match on Tuesday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They came out on top against the Pleasant Grove Vikings by a score of 3-1. This was payback for the Pioneers, who suffered a 3-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Lehi had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 16-25, 25-17, 25-20, 25-20.

Ashton Shewell paced Lehi's offense, picking up 17 kills. Shewell got some help from Ty Reynolds and his 46 assists. Shewell was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Lehi's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1. As for Pleasant Grove, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-4.

Lehi will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on American Fork at 6:30 p.m. on April 8. As for Pleasant Grove, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Skyridge at 6:30 p.m. Pleasant Grove is facing Skyridge at the right time seeing as Skyridge is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
