Baseball Recap: Hancock Takes a Loss

Hancock lost to Pearl River Central on Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hawks fell 12-8 to the Blue Devils. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hancock saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaynon Cuevas, who went 3-for-5 with one home run and three runs. Coleton Hopgood was another, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Hancock's loss dropped their record down to 21-5. As for Pearl River Central, the victory (which was their 16th in a row) raised their record to 22-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Blue Devils beat Hancock by a score of 8-7 on Saturday.
