Baseball Recap: Windsor Beats Grand Junction for Their Fourth Straight Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Windsor walked away with it. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the Grand Junction Tigers on Saturday. The victory was familiar territory for the Wizards, who have now won four contests in a row.

Wyatt Gustafson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on six hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up a single earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Izaak Haro was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Eastin Hubbard, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Windsor was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in four consecutive matchups.

Windsor's win bumped their record up to 19-6. As for Grand Junction, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-8.

As of now, neither Windsor nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
