Basketball Recap: Amelia County Comes Up Short

Amelia County lost against Lunenburg Central back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Amelia County Raiders took a 46-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lunenburg Central Chargers. The Raiders just can't catch a break and have now endured seven defeats in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Amelia County lost, don't look at CYLE WASHINGTON. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine boards.

Amelia County's record is now 2-11. As for Lunenburg Central, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-9.

Amelia County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 67-64 loss against Carver College and Career Academy on the 3rd. As for Lunenburg Central, they will face off against Buckingham at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Buckingham knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Lunenburg Central likes a good challenge.
