Basketball Recap: St. Lawrence Central Makes It Seven in a Row at Home

St. Lawrence Central had won six straight home games dating back to last season and Ayden Beach did his part to make it seven on Thursday. The St. Lawrence Central Larries simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Salmon River Shamrocks 64-37 thanks in part to Beach, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 14 boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of St. Lawrence Central's points.

Damien Ashley was another key player, going 7 of 16 en route to 16 points along with five assists and four steals. He has been hot, having posted three or more steals the last five times he's played.

St. Lawrence Central's victory bumped their record up to 12-1. As for Salmon River, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

St. Lawrence Central will head out on the road to face off against Brushton-Moira at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Salmon River has already played their next game (against Tupper Lake), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
