Baseball Game Preview: Jefferson Raiders vs. Kentlake Falcons

The Jefferson Raiders will face off against the Kentlake Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither Jefferson nor Kentlake posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Jefferson fell victim to Bellevue Christian and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 1-0. The Raiders just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Meanwhile, Kentlake also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Tahoma on Friday, falling 8-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Falcons have suffered since May 18, 2024.

Kentlake saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lincoln Moore, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Kentlake, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 3-5.

Jefferson came out on top in a nail-biter against Kentlake in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Will the Raiders repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
