Basketball Recap: Shining Light Academy Comes Up Short

Shining Light Academy lost against Raleigh Christian Academy back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Shining Light Academy Knights fell 32-25 to the Raleigh Christian Academy Eagles. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Shining Light Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Raleigh Christian Academy, their win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-5.

Shining Light Academy and Raleigh Christian Academy could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. Shining Light Academy will square off against Chatham HomeSchool at 5:00 p.m. on Monday down 393 places (556 vs. 163). Meanwhile, Raleigh Christian Academy (ranked 567th) will meet Woodland Baptist Christian (ranked 190th) at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
