Basketball Recap: Tazewell Comes Up Short

Tazewell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 25th straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 67-16 loss at the hands of the Lebanon Pioneers. The Bulldogs lost against the Pioneers in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 66-48 score last time.

Tazewell's record is now 0-12. As for Lebanon, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-13 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tazewell won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Castlewood at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Tazewell is facing Castlewood at the right time seeing as Castlewood is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Lebanon, they will be playing at home against Johnson County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
