Basketball Game Preview: Falcon Falcons vs. Mountain View Mountain Lions

The Falcon Falcons will face off against the Mountain View Mountain Lions on Tuesday. Falcon has given up an average of 51.8 points per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.

Falcon is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They managed a 62-56 victory over Eagle Valley.

Tyler Cox continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double with 22 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in boards. Another player making a difference was Aiden Wood, who posted 11 points and six rebounds.

Falcon smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 13 consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Mountain View came tearing into Friday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.8 points), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Thunder by a score of 51-43.

Mountain View's win came from a few key players Falcon will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Cole Tonniges, who had seven points and 11 boards. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Garland, who scored 14 points and six boards.

Falcon's record now sits at 16-8. As for Mountain View, they pushed their record up to 16-9 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.
