Recap: Chilton County Tigers vs. McAdory Yellowjackets
The Chilton County Tigers and the McAdory Yellowjackets squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but sadly the Chilton County Tigers had to settle for second. They were dealt a 87-46 loss at the hands of the Yellowjackets. While losing is never fun, Chilton County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 289th, while McAdory is ranked 53rd).
Chilton County's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bradin Yates, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds. DJ Caffey was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five assists and five rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Chilton County and nudges their season record down to 18-17. As for McAdory, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-11 record this season.
Chilton County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. McAdory also has no future games currently scheduled.
