Basketball Game Preview: Sylvan Hills Bears vs. Vilonia Eagles

The Sylvan Hills Bears will head out to face off against the Vilonia Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Sylvan Hills' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six games.

Sylvan Hills is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They fell 82-70 to Little Rock Christian Academy on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (62), the Bears still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Vilonia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 67-44 to Sheridan. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Eagles have suffered since November 14th.

Sylvan Hills has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Vilonia, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.

Sylvan Hills might still be hurting after the 73-49 defeat they got from Vilonia in their previous matchup back in February. Can Sylvan Hills avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
