Baseball Recap: Helix Takes a Loss

Helix lost a heartbreaker to Granite Hills when they met back in May of 2024, and they left with a heavy heart again on Thursday. The Highlanders lost 8-1 to the Eagles. The Highlanders have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Helix saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Carbajal, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Carbajal also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

Helix now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Granite Hills, the win keeps they at an undefeated 10-0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Helix will venture away from home to face off against Eastlake at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Granite Hills, they will head out to challenge El Capitan at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
