Gates County extended their winning streak to 16 games thanks to a huge performance from London Barber. The Gates County Red Barons breezed by the Tarboro Vikings to the tune of 80-16 on Tuesday thanks in part to Barber, who went 10 for 17 on her way to 21 points in addition to seven assists and six boards. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game.

Zariah Rogers was another key player, going 5 of 12 en route to 10 points along with six rebounds and five steals. That's the most points she has posted since back in February of 2024.

Gates County's victory was their 11th straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-0. As for Tarboro, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-9.

Gates County and North East Carolina Prep will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played. Gates County is facing North East Carolina Prep at the right time seeing as North East Carolina Prep is stuck on a 15-game losing streak.
