Softball Game Preview: Klein Bearkats vs. Tomball Memorial Wildcats

The Klein Bearkats will head out to face off against the Tomball Memorial Wildcats at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Klein's hitters haven't had much luck over their past three games, but Tuesday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

Saturday just wasn't the day for Klein's offense. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (1-0), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

Meanwhile, Tomball Memorial didn't have quite enough to beat Magnolia West on Saturday and fell 4-3. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Emma Coombs put in work while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Coombs wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Savannah Wiggins, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Klein's record now sits at 10-6. As for Tomball Memorial, their record is now 10-7-1.
