Baseball Recap: Genoa Christian Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Delaware Christian on Tuesday, Genoa Christian Academy came back down to earth. Genoa Christian Academy took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tree of Life Christian Trojans on Thursday.

Genoa Christian Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Micah Kline, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Jake Sutliff also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Genoa Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Tree of Life Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Genoa Christian Academy will welcome Shekinah Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Genoa Christian Academy's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Flames have averaged an impressive 10.6 runs per game this season. As for Tree of Life Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Northside Christian at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Trojans are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
