Softball Recap: CORE Butte Comes Up Short

CORE Butte was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 6-1 to the Chester Volcanoes. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Volcanoes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-2 on April 2nd.

CORE Butte's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Chester, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. CORE Butte will challenge Burney at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Raiders will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Lynx surely won't give up without a fight. As for Chester, they will face off against Plumas Charter at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in the Volcanoes' favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while the Warriors have been banged up by nine consecutive losses on the road.
