Baseball Game Preview: The Webb School Feet vs. Davidson Academy Bears

The Webb School hasn't had much luck against Davidson Academy recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Feet will host the Bears at 2:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

The Webb School's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over Station Camp. That looming 11-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Feet yet this season.

Drew Baker was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. The Webb School is undefeated when Baker posts two or more runs, but 6-7 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Brady Sineus, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Davidson Academy hadn't done well against Goodpasture Christian recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Webb School has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games. As for Davidson Academy, they pushed their record up to 11-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.
