Softball Recap: Whitney Wildcats vs. Folsom Bulldogs
Whitney stacked a fifth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They never let the Folsom Bulldogs onto the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The win was familiar territory for Whitney who now have four in a row.
Not much got past Hannah Duncan, who gave up just four hits and racked up eight Ks to keep Folsom off the board. Duncan has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive pitching appearances.
At the plate, Mya Flindt was excellent, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and a double. Another player making a difference was Tylie Kitchen, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
On Folsom's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was CeCe Geier, who went 1-for-2 with a double.
Whitney's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Folsom, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.
