Shadyside needed a changed in momentum after dropping four straight games and they got it from Ali Weatherson. The Tigers blew past the Bridgeport Bulldogs 3-0 on Tuesday thanks in part to Weatherson, who had five digs and four aces. Weatherson is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 14 every time she's taken the court this season.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Shadyside was: they took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-10, 25-15.

Shadyside's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ava Mercer, who had five aces and four digs. Those five aces gave Mercer a new career-high. Giovanna Hines was another key player, getting nine kills and two aces.

They weren't the only good server: Shadyside was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in seven consecutive matchups.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 4-10. As for Bridgeport, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Shadyside didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Shenandoah on the 18th. As for Bridgeport, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Frontier on the 18th.
