St. Michael Catholic made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Cottage Hill Christian Academy, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Cardinals put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 24-15 victory on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Cardinals, who have now won ten matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Aryia Blackmon and Maggie Mattison did most of the damage at the plate: Blackmon went 3-for-6 with five RBI, one stolen base, and one run, while Mattison scored four runs while going 5-for-6. Those five hits gave Mattison a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lauren Wood, who went 2-for-5 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

They weren't the only one making solid contact: St. Michael Catholic kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

St. Michael Catholic's win bumped their record up to 11-16. As for Cottage Hill Christian Academy, their record is now 15-6.
