Volleyball Recap: Cypress Creek Beats Boone for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Cypress Creek waltzed into their game on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Boone Braves 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bears also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Cypress Creek never let Boone on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-22, 25-16.

Anthony Nguyen was a one-man wrecking crew as he had 16 digs and two aces. That's the most digs he has posted over his last eight matchups. Isaiah Votteler also deserves some recognition as he had his first kills of the season.

Despite the loss, Boone still got an impressive performance from Jonah Folks, who had 12 digs and one assist. Folks has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more digs the last three times he's played.

Cypress Creek's win bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Boone, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.

Looking ahead, Cypress Creek will take on St. Cloud at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Boone, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Poinciana Christian Preparatory on the 23rd.
