The Radford Bobcats will head out to square off against the Patrick County Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Radford is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.8 goals per game this season.

Radford proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by five) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a goal and slipped past Carroll County 2-1. Radford haven't had any issues with Carroll County recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Tommaso Brianzi and Luciano Pugliese scored both of Radford's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 13 goals.

Meanwhile, Patrick County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 10-0 to Glenvar. While losing is never fun, Patrick County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 279th, while Glenvar are ranked 14th).

Patrick County's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Radford, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.

Everything went Radford's way against Patrick County in their previous meeting on April 8th, as Radford made off with a 10-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bobcats since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
