Basketball Game Preview: Hudson Explorers vs. Solon Comets

Hudson is 1-6 against Solon since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Hudson Explorers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Solon Comets at 7:00 p.m. Hudson is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

Last Wednesday, Hudson blew past Tallmadge, posting a 56-29 win. The Explorers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 26 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Solon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost to Wadsworth at home by a 55-38 margin. While losing is never fun, the Comets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 406th, while the Grizzlies are ranked 39th).

Solon's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Hudson, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Hudson against Solon in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 66-37 victory. Does Hudson have another victory up their sleeve, or will Solon turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
