Baseball Recap: St. Joseph Academy Has No Trouble Against University Christian

St. Joseph Academy extended their postseason success on Tuesday against University Christian. They put the hurt on the Christians with a sharp 14-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Flashes, who have now won 11 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Garrison Wade was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Wade was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Camden Biskup was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Patrick Mullahy, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and two doubles.

St. Joseph Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .610. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as University Christian only posted an OBP of .320.

St. Joseph Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-8-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for University Christian, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-9.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Christians beat St. Joseph Academy by a score of 11-0 on Thursday.
