Basketball Game Preview: St. Luke's Episcopal Wildcats vs. Baker Hornets

St. Luke's Episcopal is 0-5 against Baker since November of 2017 but things could change on Saturday. The two teams will face off at 2:30 p.m. without much rest, having both just played. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

St. Luke's Episcopal's tournament run continued when they took on McGill-Toolen on Friday. The Wildcats took a 42-27 bruising from the Yellowjackets. The game marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Armani Coleman, who went 5-for-12 en route to 12 points. That was a full 44.4% of St. Luke's Episcopal's points, marking the third time in a row Coleman has posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Stephenson, who scored eight points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Baker came up short against Foley on Friday and fell 51-44. The Hornets haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Having lost for the first time this season, St. Luke's Episcopal fell to 4-1. As for Baker, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
