Benton had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Jena Giants. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 win the Giants walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Benton pushed their record up to 14-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.8 runs over those games. As for Jena, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-3.

Benton has already played their next game (against Doyle), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Jena, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 5-1 victory against St. Mary on the 21st.
