Troy has gone 7-1 against Priest River recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Trojans will head out to challenge the Spartans at 2:00 p.m. Troy will be strutting in after a victory while Priest River will be coming in after a loss.

While Trojans fans will have to keep waiting for their team to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Saturday's season opener. Everything went their way against Bonners Ferry on Saturday as they made off with a 17-9 win. The victory continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Badgers: they've now won four in a row.

Halle Wallace made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed seven innings while giving up three earned (and six unearned) runs off five hits. Wallace was even better at the plate, going 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs.

In other batting news, Leslie Gravier was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in four of her six plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Ellie Borgmann, who scored two runs while going 3-for-5.

Troy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bonners Ferry only managed seven hits.

Meanwhile, Priest River lost 22-3 to St. Maries last Thursday. The Spartans have struggled against the Lumberjacks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Everything went Troy's way against Priest River in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Troy made off with a 20-5 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
