Baseball Recap: Sandy Spring Friends Extends Home Winning Streak to Six

Sandy Spring Friends waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Field Falcons a 2-0 shutout. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wildebeests have posted since March 4th.

Sandy Spring Friends saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Darrion Sardo, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. Sardo has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Charley Scace also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
