Softball Game Preview: Parkland Mustangs vs. Glenn Bobcats

Parkland hasn't had much luck against Glenn recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Mustangs will square off against the Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. Parkland has given up an average of 8.7 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Parkland is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 22 runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Mount Tabor on Tuesday. They came up short against the Spartans, falling 17-1.

Meanwhile, Glenn made easy work of Atkins on Wednesday and carried off a 20-2 win. The Bobcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by six runs or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Glenn and bumps their season record up to 8-7. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Parkland, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.

Parkland might still be hurting after the 22-0 defeat they got from Glenn in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
