Baseball Recap: Westmoor Extends Winning Streak to Three

Westmoor put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 4-1 win over the Summit Shasta Black Bears. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Rams also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Westmoor's victory was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Matthew Cote, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Cote is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Another was Nicholas Au, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Westmoor was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .385 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Westmoor's record now sits at 3-0. As for Summit Shasta, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Westmoor will have a chance to go back-to-back against Summit Shasta: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
