Basketball Recap: St. Clair County Takes a Loss

If St. Clair County was riding high fresh off their 76-23 takedown of Ragland last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The St. Clair County Fighting Saints fell just short of the Springville Tigers by a score of 40-38 on Thursday. The Fighting Saints haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

St. Clair County's defeat dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Springville, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Clair County will face off against Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. St. Clair County is facing Lincoln at the right time seeing as Lincoln is stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Springville, they will square off against Mortimer Jordan at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
