Bishop O'Dowd is 2-8 against Alameda since March of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Dragons will face off against the Hornets at 4:30 p.m. Bishop O'Dowd is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.
Bishop O'Dowd's last matchup with Castro Valley could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Thursday. The Dragons came up short against the Trojans, falling 14-3.

Jaella Mercado made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games she's played.
Meanwhile, Alameda beat Encinal 7-2 on Friday.
Julia Lambert made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Lambert was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Desiree Shoblo was excellent, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Maddy Yoon, who went 2-for-5 with two runs and one RBI.
Alameda always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .525. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Encinal only posted an OBP of .296.
Alameda has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-9-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.4 runs over those games. As for Bishop O'Dowd, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-7.
Both Bishop O'Dowd and Alameda just can't seem to miss. The Dragons have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.6 hits per game. However, it's not like Alameda struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.3 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Bishop O'Dowd might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from Alameda when the teams last played last Friday. Can the Dragons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
