Softball Recap: Chase Triumphs

Chase never let their opponents score on Friday. They walked away with a 5-0 victory over the Patton Panthers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-8 last Tuesday.

Montana Honeycutt was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double.

Honeycutt wasn't the only one making solid contact: Chase kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. The Trojans are 6-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Chase now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Patton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

Chase wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 7-3 loss against West Springfield on the 14th. As for Patton, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-6 defeat against Draughn on the 14th.
