South Central extends road losing streak to seven

Recap: South Central Trojans vs. Buckeye Central Bucks

The South Central Trojans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 69-45 loss at the hands of Buckeye Central. South Central was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Buckeye Central apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.

South Central's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gunner Ray, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Knoll, who scored ten points along with four steals.

South Central's defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-4. As for Buckeye Central, their victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Central is on the road again on Friday and play against St. Paul at 7:30 p.m. on December 22nd. As for Buckeye Central, they will challenge Seneca East at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Seneca East presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Buckeye Central in Ohio (Seneca East is ranked 70th, while Buckeye Central is ranked 599th).
