Recap: New Brockton Gamecocks vs. Pike County Bulldogs
The New Brockton Gamecocks can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent contest on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Pike County 69-17 at home. The victory was familiar territory for New Brockton who now have six in a row.
Leading New Brockton to victory were Ariana Smith and Reese Eddins. Smith scored 18 points along with five assists and four steals, while Eddins scored 17 points along with three steals. Smith has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 11 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Casey Williams, who scored ten points along with two steals.
New Brockton has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Pike County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-13.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Brockton will take on Northside Methodist Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Pike County, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Headland at 5:30 p.m.
