After flying high against Greenwood Christian Academy last Tuesday, Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter came back down to earth. The Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter Raiders came up short against the Castle Knights on Friday, falling 76-55. The Raiders' defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Devin Bolden, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds, and Nathan Smith, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 14 points along with seven assists and seven boards. Smith has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last ten times he's played. Marshawnn Henderson was another key player, putting up seven points.

Leading Castle to victory were Aiden Meyer and Xander Niehaus. Meyer went 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 25 points, while Niehaus almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance gave Meyer a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jakob Wongler, who posted 11 points.

Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Castle, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.

Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 78-75 victory against Evansville Bosse on the 18th. As for Castle, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 73-49 win against Hopkinsville on the 18th.
