Millbrook has been away from home for four games now, but on Thursday they'll finally make their return. They will square off against the Sherando Warriors at 7:15 p.m.
Millbrook is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering James Wood just ended the team's nine-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Colonels by a score of 3-2. The Pioneers have struggled against the Colonels recently, as their game on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Millbrook actually scored more points across those five sets (102-101), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 21-25, 14-25, 26-24, 15-8.
Meanwhile, Sherando made easy work of Liberty on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 win.
Millbrook's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-3. As for Sherando, their victory bumped their record up to 13-6.
