Baseball Recap: Saul Comes Up Short

Saul was the 14-3 winner over Jules E. Mastbaum Vo-Tech when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Razorbacks took a 17-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers on Wednesday. The Razorbacks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Saul got a massive performance out of Trey Johnson, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in four of his six plate appearances.

Saul's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Jules E. Mastbaum Vo-Tech, their win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-1.

Saul will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bodine at 3:15 p.m. on the 21st. Bodine will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Saul surely won't give up without a fight. As for Jules E. Mastbaum Vo-Tech, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 23-0 win against Overbrook on the 8th.
