Basketball Recap: Rank Disadvantage No Problem for Lone Grove

Lone Grove's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They walked away with a 42-34 victory over the Kingston Redskins. The win was all the more spectacular given the Longhorns' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 288th, while the Redskins are ranked 123rd).

Lone Grove's victory bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Kingston, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 11-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lone Grove has already played their next contest (against Plainview), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Kingston will head out on the road to square off against Byng at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kingston is facing Byng at the right time seeing as Byng is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
