Volleyball Recap: Northwest Takes a Loss

Northwest had lost three straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped down to 12-15-5 to make it four. They lost 3-0 to the Lindbergh Flyers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 3-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

As for Lindbergh, the win got them back to even at 12-12-1. They not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since September 30th (when they won 3-0).

Lindbergh's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Vera Stremlau, who had five digs and two aces. That's the most aces Stremlau has posted over her last six contests. Another player making a difference was Lily Bertarelli, who had 12 digs and two aces.

Northwest has already played their next match (against Clayton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Lindbergh, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Oakville on the 14th.
