Volleyball Recap: Monarch Takes a Loss

Monarch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the San Diego Academy Cavaliers. The Royals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cavaliers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Monarch started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-13, 27-25, 25-15.

Monarch's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for San Diego Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-6.

Monarch didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against The Cambridge School on the 25th. San Diego Academy has also already played their next contest (against Gompers Prep Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
