Basketball Recap: Cape Elizabeth Comes Up Short

Cape Elizabeth lost against Portland back in November of 2015 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cape Elizabeth Capers fell 78-71 to the Portland Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Capers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 30th).

Cape Elizabeth has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Portland, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

Looking ahead, Cape Elizabeth will face off against Leavitt on Wednesday. Portland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
